I’ve been practicing law for almost 30 years, almost all of those here in Rochester and Olmsted County.  I started in private practice, had my own small office, and also served low-income clients as a Public Defender before joining the Olmsted County Attorney’s Office in 1996. I prosecuted crimes and juvenile delinquency for almost three years before I moved to the civil division and represented our social service agency in protecting our most vulnerable citizens—abused and neglected children, vulnerable adults, and those suffering from mental illness and chemical dependency.  I’ve witnessed how the law can leverage people to change, help solve serious problems, and improve our communities.

Since 2014 I have served as the Lead Attorney in the Olmsted County Criminal Division, supervising our criminal prosecutors, partnering with the men and women of law enforcement to hold offenders accountable,  representing victims’ interests, and working with our court in the administration of justice.
